SVEB 1 Basel - What is an adult educator/vocational trainer?
Whether you've just finished school and are about to start your apprenticeship, or you're already in the middle of your professional life and looking for a new challenge, it's often difficult to choose a career. There is a countless variety of professions, but one profession that is always a fairly popular choice: Teacher. This profession has a lot to offer. Imparting one's knowledge to other people undoubtedly has something meaningful about it.
In addition, this profession allows you to deal intensively with an area that interests you and to learn new things yourself. You can then teach this new knowledge to others and in the process meet interesting people and help them to develop further.
When you hear the term teacher, the first association is, of course, that of teaching children or teenagers. But this is not the only option. As an adult educator or vocational trainer, you have the opportunity to guide adults in their learning. This can be a great experience because adults not only bring a lot of life experience to the table, but are often exceptionally motivated. Teaching thus becomes an incredible joy.
But how can one become a trainer or instructor in this function? In order to start a serious career in this industry, it is undoubtedly advantageous to have the necessary didactic know-how. The SVEB certificate, which is recognized throughout Switzerland, gives you the opportunity to prove that you are a competent and knowledgeable vocational trainer and increases your chances of finding a job in this field.
SVEB Certificate Course Instructor - SVEB 1 Basel
In addition to the SVEB certificate "Trainer - Implementation of Learning Events" (formerly called SVEB I), there is also the EUROLTA certificate. This is aimed specifically at teachers who wish to offer language teaching to adults. EUROLTA (European Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults) is recognized throughout Europe and contains the same didactic competencies that are acquired in the course of the SVEB certificate course. The EUROLTA certificate is thus often only available with an additional fee after successful completion of the SVEB course.
In the near future, we also want to offer the EUROLTA certificate at our educational institute, the ILS, in addition to the SVEB certificate.
